$ man ferry

Ferry docs

Everything about launching, getting paid on another chain, and buying with assets from other chains. If it moves money, it happens on-chain and is linked from the coin or order page.

01Overview

Ferry is a pump.fun launchpad with two extras:

Fees out

Creator fees build up in SOL. Ferry claims them and bridges 80% to the creator's address on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Base, Robinhood Chain, BNB, Hyperliquid, Arbitrum or Zcash (or pays SOL directly).

Buys in

Anyone can buy a Ferry coin by paying in BTC, ETH, BNB, HYPE or ZEC from any wallet. Tokens land in their Solana wallet, with a guaranteed minimum.

Two bridge networks do the cross-chain work: Relay and NEAR Intents. Every payout and every buy is priced on both, and the one that delivers more wins.

02Launching a coin

  1. 01Fill in the coinName, ticker, image, optional description and links. The image and metadata are stored on IPFS.
  2. 02Pick your payout chain and addressWhere your 80% lands. Double-check it: it's locked at launch and can't be changed. Never use an exchange deposit address.
  3. 03Optional dev buyBought in the same transaction as the create, so nobody can buy before you.
  4. 04Sign two transactionsCreate (pump.fun's own create instruction) and Lock: 0.003 SOL to the coin's vault so it can pay its own claim fees, then fee sharing set to 100% to that vault.

Budget about 0.025 SOL plus any dev buy. If the lock transaction fails (for example, the network is busy), your coin still exists. Its page shows the creator a Lock fees to vault button to finish setup. Fees aren't routed until the lock is in place.

03Creator fees

  1. 01ClaimEvery ~2 minutes the keeper calls pump.fun's permissionless fee distribution into the vault. After graduation it also pulls PumpSwap creator fees.
  2. 02Wait for a worthwhile amountBridges have fixed costs, so the vault routes once it holds the chain's minimum (table below).
  3. 03RouteOne Solana transaction sends 20% to Ferry and 80% into the winning bridge.
  4. 04SettleThe bridge delivers the native asset to your address, usually within seconds to a few minutes (Bitcoin and Zcash take longer).

If a bridge fails, it refunds SOL to the vault and the next cycle routes it again. If a coin's on-chain fee sharing ever stopped paying its vault, routing for that coin freezes and its page says so.

Min payout is the vault balance that triggers a route (before the 80/20 split). Bitcoin's is higher because its network fee is fixed.

05Buying cross-chain

  1. 01Open the coin pageUse the Buy with any chain box. Pick what you're paying with, the amount, your Solana wallet (for the tokens) and a refund address on the chain you're paying from.
  2. 02Check the quoteYou see what you send, the SOL it bridges to, fees, the estimated tokens and the guaranteed minimum.
  3. 03Get a deposit addressA one-time address on your chain. Send the exact amount from any wallet: no wallet connection is needed.
  4. 04Watch it landThe order page updates by itself: deposit seen → bridged → bought → delivered. Bookmark it.

Have SOL already? Just buy on pump.fun. Cross-chain buys are for people holding other assets.

06Price protection

Bridging takes seconds on EVM chains and up to ~30 minutes on Bitcoin. Both your asset and the memecoin can move in that time. So before you pay, Ferry fixes one number: the guaranteed minimum of tokens.

# example (illustrative numbers)

quote 0.0005 BTC → ~0.35 SOL → ~8.8M tokens

protect 8% → minimum 8.1M tokens

→ SOL lands, buy gives 8.5M ≥ 8.1M: bought + delivered

→ SOL lands, buy gives 7.6M < 8.1M: 0.35 SOL sent to your wallet

The buy instruction itself refuses to fill below the minimum, so there is no way to get less. Pick protection from 3%, 5%, 8%, 12%, 20%. Slower chains default higher (Bitcoin and Zcash 8%, others 3%). Bridge fees aren't refundable when protection triggers.

08Wallets & custody

Ferry uses server-held wallets so things can happen automatically. That's how fees get claimed and routed without anyone clicking, and how a buy executes the moment SOL arrives.

  • →Vaults: one per coin, the coin's only fee shareholder. A vault holds only fees waiting for the next route.
  • →Order wallets: one per cross-chain buy. Each holds one order's SOL for a few seconds before buying.
  • →Your keys: never. You sign your launch in your own wallet.

09Verify it yourself

  • →On pump.fun, a coin's fee sharing shows one shareholder at 100%: the vault listed on its Ferry page.
  • →Every claim, route and settlement on a coin page links to its transaction on Solana and on the destination chain.
  • →Every order page shows its deposit, buy and delivery transactions.
  • →The coin's pump.fun description ends with a link back to its Ferry payout page.

10FAQ

Can I change my payout address later?+

No. It's locked at launch, the same as the fee sharing on pump.fun. Use an address you control for the long term.

Why hasn't my coin paid out yet?+

The vault waits until it holds the chain's minimum (see Supported chains), so bridge costs don't eat small amounts. Claims show on the coin page as they happen.

What if I send the wrong amount to a deposit address?+

Less than quoted: the bridge refunds it to your refund address on the same chain. More: it's processed, and on most routes the excess is converted too.

What if I send after the deposit window?+

Late deposits are still processed once the bridge delivers them. Keep your order page.

Can I use an exchange to pay?+

You can send from an exchange, but use your own wallet as the refund address: exchanges can't receive automatic refunds.

Which bridge will I get?+

Whichever quotes more output at that moment. The order page shows which one was used.

Does Ferry work with coins launched elsewhere?+

No. Only coins launched on Ferry have their fees locked to a Ferry vault, so only those appear here and can be bought cross-chain.
